Data sheet AA6082

General properties

Aluminium - silicon - magnesium - manganese alloy, general purpose, whose main properties are good resistance to oxidation and corrosion in general, good mechanical strength (top for 6xxx series); fusion weldable.

Generally used in form of sheet, plate, rod and bar, shapes.

Ex stock T6, (T651 for plates)  tempers are available; other tempers can be delivered on demand.

Typical applications

Car and railway components, structural parts for which good strength and high corrosion resistance are required, welded parts and structures, trucks, shipbuilding, architectural parts.
